When we returned from our U. S. trip, we encountered some problems: The wife of one of our Mexican pastors was trying to split the congregation in El Cercado; but thank God that is now under control. Also, as I said, we have been very busy. We had our Teen camp 35 miles from El Cercado. The camp was just off the large four lane highway #85. On the last day as I was going for supplies, I approached the south lane highway. I looked to my left for oncoming traffic, and as soon as I could, I entered the highway turning left. As I did so, my Yukon was hit hard on the passenger side, damaging the whole right side of it. The passenger doors were almost half inside. I was glad I was alone; otherwise the passengers would have probably been killed. What happened? (Hard to believe) A car was coming north in reverse as fast as it could. The driver didn’t see me, and, of course, I didn’t see him because I was looking left for oncoming traffic. It was obvious whose fault it was. Or was it? About an hour later the Federal Police arrived,. He saw the Texas plates and asked if the damaged Yukon was the one involved in the accident. I said yes and that I was the driver. He said,” Senor; you are at fault!” I almost dropped my teeth in disbelief! I then told him I was not answering any more questions and that I wanted an interpreter, which is the law. But since the accident was so close to the camp, all the preachers ran to see if I was ok. Among them was a missionary’s son who grew up in Mexico and speaks better Spanish than the policeman. After several hours the federally found out that I was not buying his crooked opinion and accepting responsibility; he finally reversed the blame, putting the fault on the other driver, who didn’t have a drivers license, insurance or registration. They took my car to a Chevrolet dealer about 125 miles from where we live, and, as of today, they say that they can’t get all the American parts. Please pray that I can recover it soon. As busy as we are it’s putting a hardship on us. But, lets not forget: Rom. 8:28!!

The theft was greater than first thought. Thank God for those of you that helped us replace several items and we're almost back to a normal life.
We Love You and we are praying for you all.
