"CHANGING THE WORLD THROUGH CHANGING PEOPLE"

Mission Report

December 2008

Dear Pastor and Friends,

We praise the Lord for you and pray for you constantly.  Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support.
John 15:9-10

The Lord has been so good to us, He has added to our churches and missions every month. I’ve been telling the Mexican Christians that Mexico has never had a better opportunity than now to pick up the torch from the U.S.A. and run with it to carry the Gospel to the lost and dying world. I know that when the U.S. finally drops the gospel torch completely, the opportunity will go to the next Country that doesn’t mind putting God first. I hate to see my country slide into apostasy;  but if we, the Independent Fundamental Baptists don’t  get off our fannies (saying it nice), I’m convinced that the Holy Spirit will give it to the Country that will love the Lord and will not be ashamed of Jesus. I’m glad the Lord doesn’t give up too easily.  Aren’t you?

The Lord has been good to us in my infirmity.  He has supplied almost all the money for my Pace Maker; and now, I only have to go to the doctor once every two months. The best part of it is that I feel very good, have a lot of energy and can breathe.

Please pray for a new mission we just started in the same state we live in.  It is three hours from where we live. We had four saved and we’re working on Christmas services in two weeks. God supplied us with a rundown three room house. It needs a lot of repairs; but praise the Lord, we have a roof. I will never forget 26 years ago when we arrived in the Republic of Mexico, we had open air services for 3 years, winter and summer, before God gave us a piece of property.  That is where today we have “La Primera Iglesia Bautista Fundamental e Independiente.  We will be sending you pictures soon.

Wanda's Two Bit's

I’m really excited about what the Lord is doing here with our ladies.  We will be starting some ladies’ discipleship classes in January.  We will begin with six or seven ladies who sincerely want to lead other women to Christ and are willing to pour out their lives to help the new converts grow in the Lord.  A pastor’s wife from Monterrey and two of her ‘Timothies’ are planning to attend the classes.  This is a big step for some of these women, as they will have to study, make lots of notes and give their time and effort to help other ladies.   Please be in prayer for these ladies and for me, as we attempt to implement Jesus’ strategy in our own lives and in the lives of others.

May the Lord Bless You Mightily,

John & Wanda
