Pray as we gear up for several annual activities: 1. Friends Day, a big day for us. Pray that we have several first time visitors that will accept Jesus as their personal Savior. 2. Annual Mission Conference, always a big blessing, but a lot of work and expense: Please pray. 3. We’re hosting the National Annual Youth Camp, which is very costly, but very rewarding. I’m expecting around 250 to 300 teens. Mucho work & expensive! Please pray mucho!!! We’re planning for my dear friend, Ben Frandsen, from our church who will be the main speaker at the camp. He married one of our girls a few years ago and learned Spanish in just a short time. That’s what love does to a person. He also started the Spanish work in our home church. I heard he is one of the best speakers for teen camps. Please pray for Ben. If you can help with a love offering for expenses, we would really appreciate it greatly. I-Th 5:17

I’m really excited about what the Lord has for His people in 2010! Our ladies’ group is geared up and ready to fulfill some wonderful commitments during this year. Our goal is to have the gospel reach every person in our county. We had our January meeting and the ladies seem to be enthusiastic in seeing many of these goals fulfilled. Please pray that we can have Jesus’ vision to bring folks to Him. As you probably know it is very expensive to heat the homes in Mexico. It’s been very cold here, and we had been using a butane heater. I began to have horrible headaches and was nauseated. God sent a complete stranger to help me. I went to a neurologist. After two visits and taking the little money we had, he wanted to put me in the hospital to run a lot of expensive tests. However, God sent a young lady from Colorado to stay with us for a month. The first night here, she also got a bad headache. John immediately thought that it had to be the butane gas. However John’s first question to the neurologist had been: "Could it be the gas?" Each time the doctor said, "No". Audrey, our guest, called to report her condition to her parents to find out what was wrong with her because she was nauseas and also had a headache within 8 hrs. of arriving at our home. Audrey’s friend, an EMT with the fire department, called as soon as he heard the symptoms. He told me that it was the butane gas poisoning us. We turned off the heater, aired out the house and stayed outside for a long while. And, the pain lessened notably. Two days later I was able to go on visitation. I have a little trouble focusing and/or concentrating; but now, I’m feeling fine. I-Thes. 5:16-19.

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Only when we all get to heaven will you know the blessing you are, and have been, to us and the Mexican people. We love you and are praying for you.
Love in Christ,
John & Wanda
