Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have been blessed and very busy in soul-winning, discipling and with the missions. God has been good to us and has blessed us and our works with many souls.

We apologize that for the past several years our web-site has been inactive. It’s because we are computer illiterate, (saying it in a nice way). Please visit our web-site constantly because one of our sons in California is posting information continually. He is enjoying posting and bringing it up to date and is doing a great job! Please take the time to visit the site for more detailed information: www.casias.org . You will also be able to download our reports and other information. If in the past you have visited our work, will you please let us know about your visit on the bottom of the Home Page “Our guest book”? We would love to hear from you and get feedback. At the same time, it can help other groups get more familiar with our work before they come. Gracias!

To Scared To Visit Mexico?
|
|
We don’t blame you. Every day the USA is being bombarded with scary news like: “Drug gang disposes of more than 300 bodies using corrosive chemicals. Just yesterday Wanda and I were returning from McAllen after renewing our permits. We were delayed for almost 3 hours in mega traffic caused by the Mexican military fighting the drug cartel. One of our church members called while we were being delayed; then a few hours later he called us again to see if we were alright. It was then that he told us that it was reported that 10 were killed and over 20 hospitalized. However, we refuse to live our lives controlled by wicked hoodlums. We must trust in the Lord; and, that is what Wanda and I do: Psalm 34:4 “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears”; I-John. 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world”. If you want to visit, but feel uneasy about coming, we can meet you at the border and lead you into the Republic of Mexico.

The Lord Keeps Blessing
6 Baptisms This Week And More On The Way Next Week
|
We had six baptized a couple of weeks ago and another couple join the church, as well as three additions to the choir. And our Saturday night prayer meeting has increased from two, Wanda and me, to 27 last Saturday night. God knows how to encourage His children.

We were greatly blessed in February with a group visiting from Woodin Valley Baptist Church in Woodinville, WA. We appreciate Pastor Farinella for sending us such godly representatives. These dear folks worked on the church building in El Cercado for two very hard days and accomplished a great deal in the short time that they could be here. Thanks to Richard, Tim, Christie, Scott, Christy, Sully, and Mike for your hard work and sweet spirit. Thanks, too, to Pastor Rick Wilder, who worked on several projects, including plumbing, as well as preaching. We are praising the Lord for these folks and for their love for the Lord, for the lost around the world and for missionaries. Thank you!
Love in Christ, John & Wanda

It’s such an exciting time to be in the Lord’s service. What a marvelous privilege to be a part of His family and His army! Monday, January 26th, we will be starting a ladies’ discipleship class. This is a class for those women who have been through the Milk of the Word lessons and, sincerely, desire to teach others. In other words, it will be a class for “disciplers”. My heart’s desire is that when I am no longer here, there will be women discipline other ladies, who will disciple others and on and on. I believe that this is the desire of our Lord, also. He has used Dr. James Wilkins and some godly ladies that the Lord gave me the privilege to meet to show me how to implement this strategy. The Lord has blessed me with these unselfish, devoted friends who take the time to teach me and others. Today during my morning devotion, I read again of David’s fall into sin with Bathsheba in 2 Samuel. As I read the passages, I kept going back to 11:1. There are so many lessons to be learned from David’s life. But, what grabbed my attention was that in this verse, David sent his men into battle. He didn’t participate in the battle; he left it to others. With the physical ease (and extra time on his hands) that came from that decision, came temptation and more unwise decisions. I am so thankful that the Lord showed me that today. When we make the unwise decision to retire from the battle, we always fall. This devotion shows me that there is no earthly retirement plan with God. If I’m not in the center of the fray, then, I’m in the center of the fall. Please pray that the Lord will be glorified and that His strategy for the evangelization of Mexico and the world will be utilized. Pray, too, for the ladies who will be attending, that they will capture Jesus’ vision of this world. And, pray for me, that I will not hinder the work of the Holy Spirit in any way, that the Lord will simply use me as His instrument to communicate His vision and to fulfill His will.
