It's been a good two month and very busy ones. I hope you can come and get a good overview of all the work of the ministry in the Republic of Mexico. God is blessing us with souls in El Cercado as well as in the other churches and missions. Our weekly door-to-door evangelism has been very contagious as well as beneficial. Much of our successes is based on taking advantage of open doors on events that came our way; for example, four guitars were donated to us by B. B. C. in Canton TX. With those guitars and seven others, we have formed a Rondalla, (A group of guitar players) with a total of eleven so far. Our people are so encouraged in winning souls, discipling, singing, and playing instruments. The only thing that could be better is heaven! Pray for six more guitars because, we have six more boys and girls that are learning fast and will play once they can have their own guitars. Also, this year we have several of our people taking piano, flute, guitar, and violin lessons. If you have any instruments in the attic that you have no need for, will you please sell them or donate them to us? The instruments are bringing big blessings to our ministry. Praise God.

We are very excited about what the Lord is doing with our Ladies’ Fellowship. The ladies of the church have decorated a room that is nice and feminine and lovely. We have also been having sales of tacos, cookies, etc. to raise money for a triple kitchen sink. They have worked hard for a year to achieve that goal. So far, we have approximately ½ of the needed amount. We are anxious to install the sinks before the National Independent Mexican Baptist Fellowship Meeting. It will be wonderful to be able to wash those huge pans in the kitchen, instead of outside with the water hose. We are seeing prayers answered, one after another. And, we have been having a full house on Sundays. PTL!!!

My health in the last two weeks has been acting differently, I have been experiencing a shortness of breath, swelling in my body, heart pains and dizziness and I can not sleep because of lack of air. Several nights I have only been able to sleep for one or two hours.
My health has always been good with very few medical problems. Wanda insisted I call a heart specialist to make an appointment, I made it for yesterday at 5:30 P.M. 7/14/08. After the doctor checked me out, he gave me an electro-gram plus all. The doctor was puzzled with what he had seen! He said It was a miracle that I was still alive! He said I needed a by-pass NOW! I had told him we had $216.00 in our American bank account, and that we have no insurance, and unless we received a miracle from God I would have to take my chances. He replied: YOU NEED THAT BY-PASS NOW, MIRACLE OR NO MIRACLE YOU NEED IT NOW! I said if I have no money how can I do it? He said he was the Director of the hospital where he would operate on me and added that he would make himself responsible for the bill for seven days. Total charges will run up to: $15,000.00.
This is where you come in: Wanda and I are asking you to please pray that if God wants me alive to please help us raise the funds needed "FOR THIS MATTER". Will you please pray for us? I go in just a few hours.
