"CHANGING THE WORLD THROUGH CHANGING PEOPLE"

Mission Report

October/November
 2008

Greeting's From South Of The Border

Beloved friends, Wanda and I are so grateful to you for all your prayers, love and support. God has blessed us with souls almost every week. It has definitely a busy and interesting year. I know a soul is a soul in God's eye, but the Lord has blessed us with highly educated folks: a Computer consultant; a professional motocross rider; a beautiful and smart secretary, highly educated; a bookkeeper and  several others from different walks of life.  The reason I said blessed, is because we have folks with no education and well take all that God gives me, but they are hard to develop into productive Christians. Please don't get me wrong, I  have preachers that didn't read or write when they were saved, but God knows the many hours, and months I worked discipline them before they became productive.

Pictures From Mexican Fellowship

Our auditorium was packed as well as our fellowship hall, upstairs was also packed. Right photo is Lic. Julio Montes, X judge in Monterrey. Today he is the director of the finest Christian schools in the Republic of Mexico, and a wonderful Baptist Pastor

We had several hundreds of people that we hosted and fed. Most of our folks have small homes, but they were all full as well as our home. The church was pact to the brim, people sleeping everywhere.

Left Photo was on Mexico’s Independent’s day, several folks dressed like the olden days in Mexico, although in many states they still dress like that. We had a blast and ended the day eating authentic Mexican food that our people prepared.

Wanda And I Need Your Prayers

1.      Christmas toys needed by December 12th. If you can help in this rewarding ministry, please send toys to John & Wanda Casias, 3201 S. Jackson Rd, Pharr, TX 78577. Pharr is a border town where we receive packages.

2.      Please pray that we can raise the $5,000.00 needed to pay off the loan on my medical bills. The original bill started at $14,000.00. God’s people have paid right at $9,000.00.

3.      Pray for two more good used vans.

4.      Plans for our 3-month trip to California & Washington in 2009.

Wanda's Two Bit's

We have been immensely blessed by the ladies that came in September from 5 different states to minister to the ladies here in Mexico.  But, they ministered to us even more.  We have always discipled the new converts for 11 weeks.   However, what we learned and are continuing to learn will have a tremendous impact on the country of Mexico, because it’s a continuance of that.  Ladies from different churches in Mexico attended the conference; and the response has been wonderful.  The emphasis of Jesus’ strategy is:  memorize His Word; use it to have a more intimate relationship with the Lord; and, pour out one’s life into others.  This isn’t something new.  It’s the original plan that Jesus used to train the 12 disciples.  Other pastor’s wives and I are praying together; and soon we will begin to study together, along with some of our “Timothy’s”.  II-Tim. 2:2-
“And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
