OUR BELIEFS
We at JWCMM (John & Wanda Casias, Missionaries to Mexico) believe that salvation is a gift from God (Romans 6:23).
This gift of eternal life is received upon the confession to Him that we are sinners and upon the placing of our
complete trust in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the propitiation for our sins.(Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16)
We believe that this pardon for sin is received by grace through faith in the Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and not by
any works which man can do.(Ephesians 2:8-9) At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit indwells the believer
and guides, convicts, and protects His own.(Romans 5:5) We believe that baptism is the first step of obedience
for the believer, that it is the immersion of the believer in water to declare our faith in the crucified,
buried, and risen Savior, with its effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life.( Matthew 3:5-15;
Acts 8:36-38; Romans 6:3-8) We also believe that the great commission to evangelize the world was given to the
local church by our risen Lord and is the instrument that God uses to call and send out missionaries.
(Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16) We believe that one who is truly born again is kept for eternity.
(John 10:28-29; Rom. 8:38-39). We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, infallible, and
immutable.(1 Timothy 3:16) The Holy Bible teaches separation from the world, that is, that the believer should
not participate in worldly and sinful practices. (1 John 2:15-17) We also believe that we are commanded to pray,
that is, to communicate with our Father constantly. We are to be thankful and praise Him. We are to pray for the
salvation and the needs of others, including our leaders, as well as for our own needs.
(1 Thessalonians 5:17-18; Matthew 7:7-12) We believe that our Living Savior will return to this earth for His own
at a time that no one knows. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 22:7, Revelation 22:12, Revelation 22:20).
